UPDATE: Craig and James pictured below are walking 22 miles from Reading TA Centre to Newbury via Thatcham dates are to be confirmed. They will be wearing full Army Combats plus Bergen in order to raise funds for Support our Troops UK. They estimate that it will take the 6-7 hours to complete. They are currently studying at College and are in the process of joining the TA and the Army. Please join us in offering them Support, Thanks and Good luck guys! We will keep you posted on their success. Craig Spooner and James Shayler started their walk at about 06:30 outside the Reading Recruitment Centre, in the town centre. They then continued to walk through the town and onto the A4 (Bath Road) which is where they stayed for the duration of the journey. They made their 1st stop at the Savacentre in Reading to have some water and a some food. After about 10 minutes they continued their walk through Theale High Street and back onto the A4. They then continued to Woolhampton and where they had a quick break, and got some support from a local shop keeper. (Many thanks) |
